1. Environmental and Coastal Cleanup - Sarsala - Hamam Bay Route

This activity is a joint effort between the Dalaman Active Life and Nature Sports Association (Darkder) , the Search and Rescue Research Association (AKA) , and the Dalaman Motomod Motorcycle Club . As the first stop of our 1st Environmental and Coastal Cleanup event, we will be cleaning a section of the Sarsala Bay - Hamam Bay route, which we actively use. The first 2.5 km of the 6 km long route will involve cleaning the forest, environment, and coastline.

1. Environmental and Coastal Cleanup - Sarsala - Hamam Bay Route

We are going to Sarsala Bay to protect nature, raise environmental awareness, and take care of the areas we live in together. We are meeting for the 1st Environmental and Coastal Cleanup event in solidarity with Darkder , AKA (Search and Rescue Research Association) , and Dalaman Motomod Motorcycle Club . We will take a short nature walk and carry out cleaning work, especially in forested areas and around the coast. We will walk approximately 2.5 kilometers along the Sarsala Bay – Hamam Bay route and return along the same route. After a total walk of approximately 5 kilometers, we will have a break by the sea in Sarsala Bay. Those who do not want to walk too far will be dropped off 1 km inland to do forest cleaning.

EVENT DETAILS

We will organize with our own vehicles. Those with vehicles should especially let us know so we can arrange free pickup at the entrance, and we can accommodate those without vehicles in our cars. We will depart from in front of the Darkder association building at 10:00 AM. Depending on the number of participants, we can arrange a cost-sharing shuttle service.

The primary goal of our event is to clean up the forest, the environment, and the coastline. Starting from Sarsala Bay, we will walk approximately 2.5 kilometers towards Hamam Bay, collecting litter along the way. We will return along the same route, completing a total of approximately 5 kilometers. Those environmental volunteers who don't want to walk this far can clean up the forested area 1 km inland. After the cleanup, we will have a rest and a swim in Sarsala Bay.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Gloves and garbage bags will be distributed, but those who can afford them may bring extra. If you have extra gloves, garbage bags, or other materials, Darkder is interested in using them in our next cleanup event.
