Environmental Cleanup Event in Dalaman: AKA and Darkder Together
In Dalaman, AKA and Darkder joined forces to clean up a section of the Sarsala Bay - Hamam Bay trail.
Environmentalists came together in Dalaman for a cleanup event. Organized jointly by the Dalaman Active Life and Nature Sports Association and the Search and Rescue Research Association (AKA), the event saw the cleaning of the first stage of the Hamam Bay trail, a popular hiking route in Dalaman.

On September 13, 2026 , the 1st Environmental and Coastal Cleanup Event was held, cleaning the first stage of the 2.5km walking route between Sarsala Bay and Hamam Bay . Dozens of bags of trash were collected during this cleanup, which reached many hard-to-access points in the forested areas.
In a region where summer heat continues, this effort to combat the challenges of the heat has attracted the attention and appreciation of the local community. It was decided that similar activities will continue and that a season-end cleanup will be carried out in the coming days.

Sarsala Bay: The Paradise of Dalaman
When Dalaman is mentioned, one of the first bays that comes to mind is Sarsala Bay. Very close to the center, this bay hosts tens of thousands of people every year. The Hamam Bay trail, starting from Sarsala Bay, is also one of the most enjoyable routes. This marked trail, preferred by nature lovers from many parts of Turkey and the world, shows you pine trees, panoramic views, and every shade of blue. In a project carried out with the Dalaman Active Life Association and volunteers, the first stage of the Hamam Bay trail was cleaned.
Forest Cleaning in Sarsala Bay - Hamam Bay Trail
The event, organized by Darkder and AKA , was completed with the support of volunteers. The first 2.5 km of the Sarsala Bay - Hamam Bay trail, Dalaman's most popular hiking route, was cleaned. A significant cleanup was carried out on the first stage of the 11 km trail (5.5 km there and 5.5 km back). Dozens of bags of trash were collected, marking the end-of-season cleanup.
The Association, the Municipality, and Volunteers, All Together
Dalaman Active Life and Nature Sports , in collaboration with the Search and Rescue Research Association (AKA), received support from a total of 22 volunteers for the activity. The toll booths at Sarsala Bay were free for participants thanks to the Dalaman Municipality . At the end of the day, the Sarsala Bay management also provided rest areas for participants, offering tea to help them unwind.
The message of unity and solidarity is clear. We are much stronger together. We are so glad that Dalaman brought us together.
